We stand for coexistence & green cities

We support Delhi’s citizen movement for humane stray-dog solutions — and we defend India’s urban & natural forests.

We do not run shelters or pick up dogs. Our role is to amplify citizen voices and back practical solutions: vaccination, sterilisation (ABC), geo‑tagging and on‑ground care — not mass removal. We also support campaigns to save trees and forests across India.

Update — Aug 19, 2025: After recent court directives about stray dogs in Delhi‑NCR, we support citizen initiatives calling for evidence‑based ABC, vaccination, public education and safer streets without displacing community dogs.

Stray Dogs: What we support (Delhi)

We support citizens and welfare groups seeking humane, science‑based management of community dogs in Delhi. We are not an animal shelter and we do not capture or house dogs.

  • ABC at scale: city‑wide sterilisation to stabilise population humanely.
  • Mass vaccination against rabies, plus routine deworming.
  • Geo‑tagging & monitoring so vaccinated/sterilised dogs aren’t relocated.
  • Hotspots first: prioritise areas with higher incidents and ensure quick response teams.
  • Public education: bite‑prevention workshops, school outreach, clear feeding zones.

Note: We amplify the movement’s asks and mobilise volunteers/funding to the right experts. We do not provide veterinary services or run shelters.

Active Green Campaigns We Support

Our core mission is clean air, healthy urban ecosystems and protecting forests. Below are current campaigns we are publicly supporting.

Save Dol ka Badh Movement in Jaipur
Save Dol Ka Badh — Jaipur
Urban ForestCitizen Protest~2,500 trees at risk

What’s happening: Jaipur’s last major urban forest, Dol Ka Badh, faces large‑scale tree felling linked to proposed commercial construction including a PM Unity Mall. In June 2025, citizens formed human chains to oppose felling and demand transparency and alternatives.

Our stance: preserve the forest core; require independent EIAs; adopt nature‑positive siting; and treat urban forests as essential green lungs.

  • Back citizen monitoring of any tree‑cutting permissions.
  • Push for compensatory greening in the same landscape, not distant offsets.
  • Map biodiversity and heritage trees before any work begins.
Save Mumbai Mangroves from Coastal Road Project
Protect Mangroves — Mumbai & Navi Mumbai
Coastal ShieldWetlandsEnforcement

What’s happening: Courts have directed comprehensive protection of Maharashtra’s mangroves, yet illegal dumping and clearance still occur around Navi Mumbai’s creeks and wetlands. Citizens continue PILs and peaceful demonstrations to safeguard flamingo habitats and restore damaged patches.

Our stance: strict enforcement of no‑build buffers, rapid debris removal and community‑led mangrove stewardship.

  • Support local groups documenting violations and pushing prompt remediation.
  • Promote mangrove walks and citizen science to build pride and vigilance.
  • Advocate nature‑based flood protection instead of hard infrastructure alone.
Kukrail River and Forest in Lucknow
Kukrail Forest & River — Lucknow
Riverfront plansNGT oversightTree‑loss concerns

What’s happening: Proposals around the Kukrail riverfront and a night‑safari have raised concerns over tree felling and displacement. Courts and green tribunals have sought accountability while residents demand transparent EIAs and minimal ecological impact.

Our stance: safeguard forested riparian zones, respect housing rights in redevelopment, and prioritise biodiversity in any riverfront design.

  • Independent review of tree‑felling numbers and replanting plans.
  • Public consultations before tenders and during design.
  • Green‑infrastructure first: wetlands revival, shade trees, permeable surfaces.
Hasdeo Arand Forest in Chhattisgarh
Hasdeo Arand — Chhattisgarh
Old‑growth forestCoal miningTribal rights

What’s happening: One of central India’s largest contiguous forests faces ongoing coal‑mining expansion pressures, threatening wildlife corridors, water security and indigenous livelihoods.

Our stance: no go for new coal in critical forests; uphold gram sabha consent; secure water & livelihood safeguards; pursue just energy alternatives.

  • Support documentation of forest values and legal due diligence.
  • Stand with peaceful community‑led conservation efforts.
  • Promote restoration and fair transition plans.

If any figure or fact above changes, we’ll update this page. Our summaries reflect publicly reported information and citizen testimonies at the time of publishing.
